Sometimes Kyungsoo forgets that he's meant to be D.O, and that Jongin is meant to be Kai. Sometimes he becomes blind to the spotlights in his eyes. But no matter what was written on his name tag or where his feet were planted - Kyungsoo's heart would always beat a rhythm Jongin danced to.
Sometimes Kyungsoo blurs the lines between Kai & D.O and Kyungsoo and Jongin, too busy admiring the curls of Jongin's hair and the movements of his body. And sometimes it's okay - but not all times, not every time, not now. Because now they're on stage with countless cameras trained on their every move, hundreds of pairs of eyes focused on them - and all Kyungsoo wants to do is reach out and peck Jongin on the cheek, wants to show the younger how much his presence affects him. He's halfway there - entranced by the tanned skin on the dancer's cheek, remembering how soft and smooth it is when he kisses it - when Jongin darts a warning glance at him and snaps him out of his trance, brings him back to the here and now. Kyungsoo feels blood rush up to his face - which is, thankfully, caked with creams and powders - and prays nobody notices it.
Only, Jongin does.
(He notices everything about Kyungsoo, even if the older doesn't know it.)
So when the MCs loudly bellow instructions for the next game at them, enthusiastic gestures in place to make up for the language barrier, Jongin takes the first opportunity he can find to stealthily - well, as stealthily as someone on stage in front of hundreds can be - put his lips close to Kyungsoo's ear, and whisper, in his quietest voice - 'I'll let you kiss me once we get back.' It earns a small smile from Kyungsoo, who's trying to keep his emotions in check. Jongin leans in again, takes advantage of all the noise Chanyeol and Luhan are making to whisper his one condition:
'But only if your team wins.'
Jongin moves swiftly away to avoid Kyungsoo's light punch, but he doesn't move fast enough to miss the blush on Kyungsoo's cheeks and the way his lips have stretched out into a full blown grin. He feels his lips mirror Kyungsoo's, drawing out a happy grin on his attractive features.
Just like Kyungsoo's.
